The perfect combination Primary Zirconium abutments and galvanoformed secondary copings

چکیده
1 becomes the perfect partner to zirconium. Only the direct deposition of electroforming gold provides accurately fitting bar coatings or secondary parts on zirconia abutments. No other technique allows that in such a short time, with such little effort, and so economically. Even the patients benefit from the electroformed parts. Due to the extremely accurate fitting precision, the removable part of the denture runs so smoothly that it can be removed and inserted very easily. Zircon – or to be more precisely: zirconium dioxide or zirconia – is often propagated as the universal material for all kinds of dental restorations. But as in case of all other techniques, too, not everything is possible with zirconia. And some projects only make sense or are only realizable at all if combined with other techniques. Zirconia can fully prove its main advantage in case of combined fixed-removable dental restorations since the patient has a white material in his mouth instead of a visible metal. That means the advantage regarding its colour is rather of a psychological nature. Well, there is zirconia on the one hand – but what should the counterpart look like? This is exactly where the galvanoforming technic editorial

Fracture resistance and analysis of stress distribution of implant-supported single zirconium ceramic coping combination with abutments made of different materials.
The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture resistance and fracture mode of single implant-zirconium coping combinations using zirconium and titanium abutments and to analyze the stress distribution pattern using three-dimensional finite elements analysis. Twenty implants with titanium and zirconium abutments were randomly divided into two groups (n = 10) and into resin blocks. Zircon...
متن کاملAssessment and comparison of retention of zirconia copings luted with different cements onto zirconia and titanium abutments: An in vitro study
AIM The purpose of this in vitro study was to assess and compare the retention of zirconia copings luted with different luting agents onto zirconia and titanium abutments. MATERIALS AND METHODS Titanium and zirconia abutments were torqued at 35 N/cm onto implant analogs. The samples were divided into two groups: Group A consisted of four titanium abutments and 32 zirconia copings and Group B ...
متن کاملEvaluation of removal forces of implant-supported zirconia copings depending on abutment geometry, luting agent and cleaning method during re-cementation
PURPOSE To evaluate the effects of different abutment geometries in combination with varying luting agents and the effectiveness of different cleaning methods (prior to re-cementation) regarding the retentiveness of zirconia copings on implants. MATERIALS AND METHODS Implants were embedded in resin blocks. Three groups of titanium abutments (pre-fabricated, height: 7.5 mm, taper: 5.7°; custom...

PURPOSE The purpose of this study is to evaluate the retention of two-piece computer-aided design (CAD)/computer aided manufacturing (CAM) zirconia abutments after artificial aging under simulated oral conditions using three different types of resin-based luting agents. MATERIAL AND METHODS Twenty-one CAD/CAM-generated zirconia copings (CERCON Compartis, Degudent, Hanau, Germany) were bonded ...
متن کاملResistance to dislodgement of zirconia copings cemented onto titanium abutments of different heights.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEM For patients with limited interocclusal space, standard height implant abutments may not be usable. Shorter abutments may be desirable. PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the height of titanium abutments on the tensile strength required to dislodge zirconia copings. MATERIAL AND METHODS Two experimental groups of abutments were prepared: (1...
